Participation in lectures/courses and seminars will be monitored with a credit point (CP) system. You are requested to report your participation to the office of the school.

Each student should:

• Attend (at least) one general course (4 CPs)
• Attend (at least) two specialized courses (2x 3 CPs)
• Participate in (at least) one MPI-PKS research seminar
  or a summer / winter school with a lecture program (2 CPs)
• give (at least) one seminar talk (2 CPs)

which yields the required minimum of 14 CPs

Midthesis evaluation

Approximately half time into the PhD thesis, all students should attend a midthesis evaluation, i.e. an interview with a senior IMPRS partner. This offers the possibility to assess the progress of the thesis work as well as any relevant related issues, and provides feedback for the organizers of the school.
